MF Global, Inc. Placed Into Liquidation

MF Global, Inc., a broker-dealer located in New York, NY, has been placed into liquidation.  The United States District Court for the Southern District of New York granted an application for the liquidation proceeding filed by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).  SIPC is a non-profit corporation funded by its member broker-dealer firms and was created by the United States Congress in 1970 to work with customers of closed brokerage firms to return their cash, stocks, and other securities.  The District Court has appointed James W.
