E*Trade Securities LLC has reached a settlement with state securities regulators to return approximately $100 million to clients who purchased auction rate securities (ARS) and subsequently had their funds frozen.  As part of the settlement, the firm will maintain a dedicated toll-free telephone assistance line, website, and e-mail address to provide information to investors. 

The toll-free number is 1-888-296-0880 and may be called Monday through Friday between 10:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Central time.
