Darin Domingue Elected President of AARMR

Deputy Chief Examiner Darin Domingue, CEM, with the Office of Financial Institutions (OFI) was elected President of the American Association of Residential Mortgage Regulators (AARMR) on August 10, 2010. AARMR is an association whose membership is comprised of state and territorial agencies charged with the licensing, regulation, and examination of individuals and companies engaged in the business of residential mortgage brokering, lending, and servicing. The primary goals of AARMR are to promote the exchange of information between regulators, assist in resolving conflicts of jurisdiction, promote better understanding of mortgage regulation, and increase knowledge and competency of mortgage regulators by sponsoring lectures, seminars, and training programs.

Mr. Domingue has been employed with OFI for 21 years. He indicated that it was an honor to be elected by his peers, and he looks forward to working with representatives from other state and federal regulatory agencies as well as the mortgage industry in the upcoming year to address the many challenges currently faced by both.
