NMLS Mortgage Call Report

The Office of Financial Institutions is pleased to announce that on May 2, 2011, the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) has been updated to allow your company to submit the NMLS Mortgage Call Report ("MCR") in order to comply with Title V Section 1505(e) of the Federal SAFE Act's Mortgage Call Report requirement which was implemented by LSA-R.S. 6:1091(D).

Although your company's 1st quarter 2011 NMLS MCR for the time-frame of January 1 - March 31 would normally have been required on or before May 15, 2011, La. OFI is allowing both the 1st quarter and 2nd quarter MCR's to be submitted by August 15, 2011. However, please be aware that on June 16, 2011, you will see a deficiency set in the NMLS for failure to file the 1st quarter MCR. This is an automated deficiency but no penalties will be assessed by La. OFI. However, if you do have the ability to file prior to the deadline set for the 1st quarter MCR, we encourage you to do so.

What you need to do:

Log into your NMLS company account and complete the NMLS Mortgage Call Report under the Filing Tab. Information about the NMLS Mortgage Call Report, including quick guides and "getting started" instructions can be found on the
