Important Notice to All Louisiana Originators 

LSA-R.S. 6:1094.B(2) states in part, "...continuing education courses shall be reviewed and approved by the NMLS&R and shall include review and approval of the course provider; provided however, until such time as the commissioner determines that the continuing education courses and course providers referred to in this Paragraph are available to satisfy the requirements of Paragraph (1) of this Subsection..."

Please be aware that effective September 1, 2010, all education providers formerly approved by the Office of Financial Institutions will no longer be authorized to offer courses outside the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System ("NMLS") for credit.

Effective September 1, 2010, all prelicensure (PE) and all continuing education (CE) courses must be approved by the NMLS.  All PE & CE courses must be taken from NMLS approved providers and the hours banked in the NMLS.
